The client is a leading global supplier of technology and services for the mining and construction industries. It has customers working in quarrying, aggregates production, construction, civil engineering, mining and minerals processing.

Business Need – Proper Interpretation of design data at site.

The client was sending design data in the form of autocad drawings to the site contractors but there Were large discrepancies the way data was interpreted and final construction of foundations and other structure were having faults leading to time and cost runouts.

The need was to prepare and present design data which could be easily interpreted by contractors and engineers in a correct manner.

ATL’s Solution

• We suggested to convert the data from 2D to 3D so that the General Arrangement drawings would be clearly and easily interpreted by the contractors and engineers at construction site.
• Prepared 3D data from 2D drawing data available.
• Presented the dimensions and other design parameters in 3D annotations.
• Prepared images of the General Arrangement drawings in 3D.
• Also made PPT’s from the above images for the complete layout.

• The errors at construction site were greatly reduced thus leading to project completion on time and with lesser cost runouts.
• The images and subsequent PPT’s were used in various presentations to their prospective clients leading to closure of certain prestigious orders.
